In the movie ‘Powder’ a young Indigo boy talks about how he perceives our reality. The movie speaks to those who are different; those who seek understanding, enlightenment, even oneness with the universe. To Powder they are the ways of his world. When asked by his friend: “What are people like on the inside?“ he replies:
“Inside most people there is a feeling of being separate. Separated from everything…when there are not. They are part of absolutely everyone and everything. You don’t believe me because you have this spot between your eyes – the third eye – that you can’t see past. Everyone has it, a spot where they thought that they were disconnected from everything.” She replies: “So that’s what they’d see if they could if they were connected?” “Yes, and how beautiful they really are and that there is no need to hide, or lie. And then it is possible to talk to someone without any lies. With no sarcasms, no deceptions, no exaguration…or any of the things that people use to confuse the truth.” Humans are a dangerously insane and very sick species with separation as their basis of identity. People indulge in unhappiness and so strengthen its sense of separation from other people and their surroundings.
“When Powder then asks his friend to hold out her hand to allow their fingers to touch, they start realising this universal connectedness and comment in turns: “you are afraid someone will see us holding hands” – “You are really nervous talking to me.” – “You don’t think you are pretty enough.” – “You feel alone, so alone.” – “Sometimes you just want to break out of yourself.” – “Your father hurt you a long time ago.” – “You are so sad!” – “You think you are ugly...”
The author Eckhart Tolle also comments on this in his book: ‘The Power of Now’ that we are deeply hurt, unhappy persons that attract a ‘pain body’ that will take over an individual up to a 100% if it is allowed to. This is most people’s normal state run unconsciously by the egoic mind. Most pain bodies are obnoxious but relatively harmless, like a child who won’t stop whining. Others are vicious and destructive monsters, true demons. Some are physically violent, but many more are emotionally violent. Some will attack people around you or close to you, while others may attack you, their host. Thoughts & feelings you have about your life become deeply negative & self-destructive. Illnesses and accidents are often created in this way. It is not a state of acute pain, or unhappiness, but of an almost continuous low-level of unease, discontentment, boredom, discord and nervousness, like a mild river of misery – a background static. This correlates perfectly with the concept of lower astral level entity possession and their inter-dimensional effects on us. Many people then use alcohol, drugs, sex, food, work, television, or shopping as anesthetics, tranquilizers and anti-depressant to block out the pain. These drugs keep them in dysfunction and if deprived of them, a large part of the population would probably become a danger to themselves and others. If you’d truly open your eyes you could see the despair, fear, greed & violence everywhere that is at the root of all suffering – its our constant wanting and graving that has done that. Our mind created this obsession with the future as an escape from our unsatisfactory present. When you are in this state, your life looses its vibrancy, its freshness and it’s sense of wonder.
However, when you become conscious of the stillness of the moment and free of psychological time, you will no longer pursue goals with grim determination, driven by fear, anger, discontentment, or the need to become someone. Then there is no pain anymore. Pain in fact is an illusion and evil doesn’t actually exist either. That is the truth. It’s only the insane mind that is draining you of energy. The moment you grasp this, there is a shift in consciousness from mind to Being, from time to presence. As you move, work, or do anything at all – do it totally and enjoy the flow of energy, the high energy of the moment! Suddenly, everything feels alive, radiates energy and emanates being. The old patterns that created thought, emotion, behaviour, reaction and desire in endless repeated performances will break down.
It is about asking yourself what is going on inside me at this moment, what is lacking? Do I have a problem now? Is there any tension, or is there joy, ease and lightness in what I am doing? Do you resent other people, or what you are doing for living? Use your senses fully and be where you are. It is about realizing that there are no problems – only situations to be dealt with, accepted, changed, or to be left alone by removing yourself from the scene. When you speak out you are in your power. So speak to the person concerned and express fully what you feel, or drop the negativity entirely…
Just be and enjoy being!
